Hands down these are the best loppers I have ever used and I have used many. I got the long handled ones which are very handy for lopping both high limbs and up to 2" trees and shrubs at ground level. The quality is excellent and I will be buying one of the short handled ones soon.

The Hickok loppers came highly recommended to me from fellow arborists and forestry folks, so far I couldn't be more pleased! Very sharp, good handling, and the wooden handles are quite sturdy and nice looking too-- these are the loppers you've been searching for. Shipping was very quick. I have an orchard so I'm constantly pruning trees. Over the years, I've owned a half dozen loppers. These are the best I've used. Blade is sharp. Handles are light and strong. You can't go wrong with these.

I wanted a good quality pruner feel good to use. I have not used it yet but it looks just right. It is very sharp and of good quality. Will be getting rid of the old one that I hate.

While I have used it only a few times since getting it, and having looked far and wide for a tree branch lopper made in the USA (and as far as I can determine, the only one made here), it appears to be crafted with excellence.
